RESCON 2005

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

Sunday 18th September

- 09:00 – onwards : arrivals and registration,

- 19:00 – opening ceremony – (hut by the ski lift),

- presentation of foreign teams,
- GOPR presentation (rescue activity,Regional Group territories),
- Presentation of the region –Jura, Sports and recreational activity, especially cave exploration

 

Monday 19th September

- 08:00–09:00 – breakfast,

- 09:30–14:00 – THE SAFETY POINT
Hilti Poland Corporation lecture on fastening belay points in rock and industrial buildings (hut by the ski lift),

Team „A” – practical training of fastening mechanical and glue-in anchors (car park and nerby rocks),

Team „B” – exploration of nearby caves in region – Studnia Szpatowców, Koralowa, Studnisko, Aven Wszystkich Świętych,

- 14:30–15:30 – lunch,

- 16:00–18:30 – durability tests of the anchors (car park and nerby rocks),

- 19:00 – dinner,

- 20:30 – presentation of foreign teams and their cave and rescue activity (hut by the ski lift),

Tuesday 20th September

- 08:00–09:00 – breakfast,

- 09:30–14:00 – THE SAFETY POINT

Team „A” – exploration of nearby caves in region – Studnia Szpatowców, Koralowa, Studnisko, Aven Wszystkich Świętych,

- 16:00–18:30 – durability tests of the anchors (car park and nerby rocks),

- 19:00 – dinner,

- 20:00 – leisure activities: cycling, volleyball, climbing, horse riding,

Wednesday 21st September

- 07:30–08:00 – breakfast,

- 08:30 – departure for excursion,

- 11:00–14:00 – visiting the historical salt mine in Wieliczka,

- 15:00–17:00 – visiting the market square in Krakow,

- 19:00–20:00 – dinner,

Thursday 22nd September

- 07:30–08:30 – breakfast,

- 09:00–17:00

Team „A” – („The Library” rocks) – cave and rescue techniques performed by Polish and foreign teams:

- rigging,
- ascending,
- descending,
- transporting casualties by means of rope,

Team „B”

– transport in narrow caves („Berkowa”),
- technique of widening narrow passages,
- seminar on medical rescue in caves,

- 18:00 – dinner,

Friday 23rd September

- 07:30–08:30 – breakfast,

- 09:00–17:00

Team „A”

– transport in narrow caves („Berkowa”),
- technique of widening narrow passages,
- seminar on medical rescue in caves,

Team „B” – („The Library” rocks) – cave and rescue techniques performed by Polish and foreign teams:

Saturday 24th September

- 07:30–08:30 – breakfast,

- 09:00–17:00 – rescue missions in nearby caves:

– Koralowa cave,
– Studnisko cave,

- 19:00 – Closing ceremony and dinner (hut by the ski lift),
